Well another week, another week of wind.
It's still blowing good this weekend so I haven't been out fishing.
Suzanne and I took the boat out today with the hounds though and ran to New River and Back. We stopped along the way and soaked ourselves to keep cool and let the dogs do some running and swimming too. Some storms blew up but managed to stay in between them. At least we got some rain here at the house.
On the fishing front, its about time I did some surf fishing. The heat couple with closures up north and astronomical fees for the north end have all but kept me off the beach. Lets see. I bought a pass for Fort Fisher and only used it once. That should tell you something.
I am looking forward to getting my feet in the sand though. However, Ill probably be heading up north to the Nuese river before to long for some inside fat drum action.
Around here, for the surf, everyone is talking about the pompano. Evidently they seem to be biting good from Wrightsville Beach Northward.
Ive also heard of some pup action in the back bays on out into the surf as well as the inlets of topsail and new river.
Pier and surf has a ton of hi jinks still going on so check that out.
Oh, and the Point in Hatty is now open too. Hot, Hot, Hot Spanish bite going on right now there so I've been told and read.
